The Elephant in the Dark Room

Here, I have made illustrations for Rumi’s poem ‘The Elephant in the Dark Room’, written in c1250, with some of the text tweaked. I found out while I was working on it, that this poem has come into the public recently on account of it’s message about misinformation and misconception. A group of people look for an elephant in a dark room, and each perceive it differently for want of a light. The collage work is made with painted tissue paper, and the rest is watercolour and acrylic ink.
